To all the leftist Democrats who persist in their class warfare rhetoric that the Bush tax cuts caused the current economic problems, here are the actual numbers on jobs over the last 8 years:
While there are a lot of figures in this piece, to me a couple of the most significant are these: 1) average unemployment rates… 2003 thru 2006 – 5.3% …2007 thru 2010 – 7.5%; and 2) yearly jobs average… 2003 thru 2006 – 1,672,00 jobs added … 2007-2010 – 1,583,000 jobs lost.
Let’s see… what happened at the beginning of 2007? Oh, I remember… the Democrats took over both houses of Congress following the 2006 elections. They have been in charge of spending ever since and it has skyrocketed. They also would not allow any consideration of reining in FannieMae and FreddieMac, the two organizations whose actions led directly to the economic collapse and current problems.
So tell me again how the Bush tax cuts in 2003 caused our current problems?
