Going…going…gone!

An absolute home run!  There is no other way to describe Sarah Palin’s speech tonight.  It had it all… humor, a compelling narrative, tons of things that the average working person the Dems claim to care so much about can relate to… not to mention the multiple times when she stuck the knife in Obama’s pretensions – all done with a smile!

Now we see why the Messiah’s cronys in the media have been so desperate to destroy her the last few days… she scares them to death!

A star is born!

I will give her a lot of credit for coming out and performing when the pressure was on. She outlined her personal narrative and managed to take quite a few clever shots at Obama.

That being said, I feel like it’s 1992 all over again. There was hardly a mention of economic policy in the speech which is the main issue in this election. “It’s the economy stupid” seems to be rearing its ugly head again. The war on terror was the main issue of the 2004 election, not this one.

I will give her credit for doing what she did because it was a difficult task. I am guilty of dismissing her as a lightweight, which she obviously is not. The question now becomes does the message of the McCain/Palin ticket resonate with the voters. That’s not up to me to decide.

I appreciate the admission that she is not a lightweight after all. As for the economy, it’s hard to imagine what’s more significant to that right now than gas prices and she showed without a doubt that this is right in her wheelhouse. One of her strongest areas of expertise is the energy issue, and if we can make progress on that it will have a tremendous positive ripple effect through the entire economy.
