No, not the TV show… just good people who we’ve come to love and appreciate more than ever during the challenges of the last few weeks.  The people of our congregation were wonderful to us on Sunday as they said goodbye and wished us well.  Lots of tears… but that is to be expected when you have worked with, prayed with, cried with… just generally shared life with for over 4 years.   Then last night, our Advisory Board (local community and business leaders who help out their local SA) gave us a wonderful, low-key sendoff party at a local restaurant.  It was good to just share a couple of hours with these incredibly generous and warm hearted people who have truly become our friends as well as co-workers.
It reminds me of the line from one of my all-time fave movies It’s a Wonderful Life: “Remember, no one is ever a failure when he has friends!”  How true! and how much we have been reminded of this the last few days.

You have been there many a late night to cry and pray with. Thank you. I have a marriage that I’m sure billions (no exaggeration) would envy and you have played a major part in not only keeping it alive but helping to grow into the masterpiece I am privelaged to be a part of. Thank you.
